Hichki is a Social Drama, penned and directed by Sidharth P Malhotra, Who earlier directed We Are Family, A official recreates of Hollywood film Stepmom. The film is an edition of Hollywood movie Front of the Class (2008), which itself was based on the book, Front of the Class: How Tourette Syndrome Made Me the Teacher I Never Had by Brad Cohen, of which YRF attained the rights.
